* Definition of IP Ratings

First digit identifies protection level of the equipment inside the enclosure against solids and goes from 0 (no protection) to 6 (dust tight). Second digit identifies protection of equipment inside enclosure against liquids and goes from 0 (not protected) to 8 (protected against immersion beyond 1 meter).

  • IP51 – Dust Protected – Ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, but it must not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment; complete protection against contact

  • IP51 – Dripping Water – Dripping water (vertically falling drops) shall have no harmful effect

  • IP67 – Dust tight – No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact.

  • IP67 – Immersion up to 1 m – Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 meter of submersion).

International Customers (outside the U.S.), agencies of the US Federal Government, branches of the US Military, parties operating under the direction of US Federal Government, parties that have received an STA or Experimental License under part 5 of the FCC rules, and parties that will be operating GPS Repeaters in a shielded room or anechoic chamber.
